A new DVD titled '' Elvis Live '' will be released on January 5, 2010. The highlights of this DVD are footage filmed at the opening show of Madison Square Garden with sound. '' Elvis Live '' will also featured NEVER BEFORE SEEN footage filmed during Elvis' rehearsals on March 31, 1972. A great way to kick off the 75th Anniversary !!!
Anyone heard anything more about this DVD?
If I am correct, in saying so, the unreleased footage will run approx 12 or 16 mins.

There will be no new footage on this dvd which has not been released in the past 7 years...just what we already got on the "through my eyes" dvd,but in better quality.Footage from the richmond show in april 72 will surface late 2010,about 90 percent of the show was filmed and is in good quality including a rare performance of "it`s over" from this very show!

If true, that will be the big news in 2010.
I do wonder why 10 minutes wasn't captured on film.. and which part?
The Madison release proved the Richmond was a killer show, it's on my 1972 favourites.

Hmmm that will be exciting news, if it does happen later on in 2010. Elvis wore the Burning Love jumpsuit during this performance.

Regarding the DVD in questioned......you are positive the rehearsal material will not be something new?

Believe me..there is no new footage on this dvd regarding rehearsals or on stage etc...just keep waiting and you will see the richmond footage coming in around the fall of 2010..hopefully it will be patched up and not sold at a ridiculous price like they did with the previous unseen on tour and ttwii material!

From the looks of that cover...it's a bootleg. No "official" release will just list such HUGE snippets like "Elvis at Madison Square Garden" or "Houston press conferences" by simply listing them on the back of the cover like that. From an "official" standpoint these would be incredibly rare stuff. Only a bootleg/import release would slap the contents of the DVD like that on the back.

redeemed, It has come to my attention through a reliable source, this DVD will in fact have New footage. We will see Elvis sing in rehearsal during the March 31st 1972 session , Hound Dog, Don't be Cruel, All Shook Up, Heartbreak Hotel and much more !
This is very exciting news .....2010 looks like it will start off with a bang !

I'm all for the new footage at the end of the day it's my fav Elvis era.
What i don't like is how this footage just comes out in tribs and drabs tangerling the carrot and most of the time who ever leaks it will degrade the footage quality so much.
Who ever owns the masters in great quality should sell it get the money they need and release it in a format all can enjoy.
Hard to believe we will get about 90 percent of the Richmond show. I don't even care if the sound is MONO,but stereo would be great. Maybe where they don't have the footage they can dub the songs from the show with say where he wore the same suit in footage in Nov,72',IF there is good quality fan shot footage of it.

I love to see the footage of Richmond. Mono sound is fine. We don't get to see that many concerts. And his shows of 1972 were extremely good.
Also there is way too little Richmond in On tour. I would love to see how Elvis comes to lying on his back singing.

Joined this board exactly 30 years after Elvis show in Phoenix, Arizona to celebrate this wonderful fact.
I'd say wait 'till the International Label comes up with a slobber knocker 3 DVD set on EOT (with a bonus unreleased soundboard CD from April '72) including a complete Richmond concert and unreleased/complete rehearsal footage from March. Mark my word. August 2010.

I think the "International Label" will be the group who will do a release like this justice...although there will be "sharks" out there who will release this footage before them in a rough format,so we will just have to wait until proper editing etc is done...hopefully before 2011 and at a reasonable price!

We have footage from Hampton Roads (almost complete).
We have footage from Greensboro (almost complete).
We have footage from El at rehearsel (not much but maybe more soon).
Can anybody make a complete list of what is released sofar, and see what we are missing?
Richmond footage can easily be overdubbed by the stereo audio track released by Madison.
It depend on how much effort one is willing to make... or less money is going to be made
I agree with the dubbed from the MADISON cd from April 10th,1972,but the April 10th,1972 cd DOES need some treble added,the sound is very good,but flat. I have this cd in a "fixed" version.AND I am willing to share it.
