PS : Knudsen, can we exspect some input
from you here? After all youre working on
Jailhouse Rock the Sequel... Show us what

Re: Rijff 'n' Roy Present "Elvis Echoes Of The Past"- part 1
the ep that was not to be released in the US
and Canada did see a worldwide release in
the summer of 1960. In Germany it was pressed
as "Such A Night" epa 4361, featuring the back
cover photo of Elvis Is Back album, while in the
UK - if I remember correctly- it featured the
EIB front cover photo. Anybody out there who
can post the German release here? Ofcourse
worldwide variations ( Cuba, Japan, UK, etc)
are more than welcome too! This 1960 release
is somewhat of an intro to the extremely rare
personal belongings from his days in Germany
that will be featured in part-2.... yum, yum.

Lancer and Electrovoice existed up to '57. There was even a ELVIS PRESLEY label.
In '58 Rca inked a deal with a local distributor and from then on all Elvis records carry the RCA label.

Yes, it did.TALLHAIR 2 wrote:the ep that was not to be released in the US

And to celebrate the fact that the Elvis is Back album was his very first release in STEREO they naturally made this spin-off EP in good old MONO only !

Re: Rijff 'n' Roy Present "Elvis Echoes Of The Past"- part 1
The Rijffs didnt get to listen to stereo pressings
till the How Great Thou Art Album... 1966?
Before that time all lovely mono pressings
played on one of these big radios with build in
pick up.... in mom and dad's living room...
Remember them, Colin? They had great warm
sound.... Far better than the portable pick ups
found in 'teenagers' bedrooms in the 60s....

Dirty great big hinged lid, compartment for storing the LPs, tone control for bass & treble !

Even though the picture was reversed in actuality, I thought about putting it back the way it was since though incorrect, they originally printed it that way either by error or preference. Since its memorabilia, its almost wrong corrected.drjohncarpenter wrote:You are MOST welcome!JamesVRoy wrote:Thanks, fixed.

Correct James!
As your 'dancing partner' I demand to reverse it back the way
it originally was presented as a German 'ansicht' photo card, back
in 1959.
Danke .
