Re: New photos....
Superb photos!
Some similar photos appear in 'Something For The Girls' and 'The Elvis Files Vol.2', but not these particular ones. Those tomés seem to suggest the photos were taken at the Paramount Scoring Stage, January 15-18, 1957.

Re: New photos....
From the watermarks we can see in the photos, this is obviously taken from the forthcoming Graceland Auction online catalog. Unfortunately, that site does not clarify the origin of the photos.
Here are two more (non-Elvis) images from the same lot, where we can see Scotty Moore, and a gentleman that I can't identify, but could be a recording engineer, for example.

I have no idea who the other gentleman is either.
Thanks, Mister Moon.

Re: New photos....
Great new photos from Loving You. Is it possible the photos are from the rehearsal Elvis had on February 13, 1957 in advance of recording remakes of the slow and fast versions of Loving You on February 14th?

Re: New photos....
As I noted on the other topic, they do not appear to be from the Paramount Scoring Stage, and are definitely not from Radio Recorders in West Hollywood. Elvis and the others appear to be in some kind of rehearsal room. So it is not likely a "Loving You" recording session.Davelee wrote:....emerging all the time.

The photos may date to a get-together at Paramount on 1-14-1957 (Mon), the musicians getting acquainted with the material due to be recorded the next day. That's cousin Gene Smith sitting next to Elvis at the piano.

Did you think of that idea by yourself - or could it be that someone else said exactly the same thing on the same facebook thread that these photos come from????!Davelee wrote:Could be doing a Stan Laurel impersonation.rollinson1 wrote:Thanks for the post Davelee. Re: New photos....
My guess would be comedian Jerry Lewis, if he was intentionally mugging in the manner of a famous comedian.Davelee wrote:Could be doing a Stan Laurel impersonation.rollinson1 wrote:Thanks for the post Davelee. Yes. Or it could where British comedian Les Dawson got his trademark face pulling from. They say Elvis was ahead of his time.drjohncarpenter wrote:My guess would be comedian Jerry Lewis, if he was intentionally mugging in the manner of a famous comedian.Davelee wrote:Could be doing a Stan Laurel impersonation.rollinson1 wrote:Thanks for the post Davelee. Re: New photos....
I don't think it's a new photo, but I didn't want to open a new thread for it.
I have never seen this one. Should be an behind the scenes still from a movie, but I don't recognise the girl nor the film. Anybody knows?

Can't believe you mentioned this, as a huge Laurel & Hardy fan my heart skipped a beat when i saw
the 2nd pic and Elvis looks clearly like he's doing a typical Stan impersonation! Thanks for these great pix!
