Do you know of this book?

If so, do you know of a way to get free pdf or downloadable versions on the Internet?

Thanks for any help.

Yeah, the 2009 book is something I did not find worth my time after taking a cursory look at the contents. Elijah Wald's effort felt like a ludicrous attempt at grandstanding by knocking down one of the titans of 20th century music using a false conceit.

These sites claim to offer a "free PDF" of it, but they might be shady, so be careful:

Do you want a history, or something that focuses more on the music?
