This picture was taken during the second visit of Elvis to a Bill's concert at the end of October 1958. The picture appeared on FB a couple of days ago.
It was in all probability taken by Günther Thomas, a German photographer from Mannheim who died in 2015. In a German article provided courtesy of Patrizia Tesser, it says: Anyone who has never seen Günther Thomas in person may know his photos of him. He got around a lot as a press photographer for the RNZ in Bergstrasse and in Mannheim, as well as a contract photographer for the big fashion houses. Thomas photographed celebrities who were visiting the region, such as Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, Rex Gildo, Peter Alexander, as well as politicians and great personalities such as Mother Teresa, Konrad Adenauer and Willy Brandt.
I wish we could see more of them in addition to the ones already published.
