I need help with dates & where pix were taken!

I have 3 pictures from 1955 or 56...which have been in a scrapbook since the 1950's. Unfortunately I don't know much about them...except that Judy Spreckles in 2 of the photos. Can anyone help me?

photos 1 and 2 are in the company of Judy Spreckles
taken in Las Vegas, april 1956. The 3rd photo, outside
the Hudson Theatre in New York at the time of the
Steve Allen tv show.

It could very well be Hollywood at the
time of filming LMT.

well, it's not in the Audubon Drive backyard, so

a clue: cousin Billy is wearing Elvis' green jacket
worn by Elvis when they travelled together to
Hollywood. Elvis did wear the jacket in Vegas
too, but Billy wasnt there. Cousin Gene and
Junior were with him in Vegas...

Half a mistake, I had the photo down as Las Vegas
in my first post...
Those notorious Smith cousins, can't tell who's who?
If that is Gene in the photo, he looks no older than
15... But if the newspaper said so, it must be correct?

a clue: cousin Billy is wearing Elvis' green jacket worn by Elvis when they travelled together to Hollywood. Elvis did wear the jacket in Vegas too, but Billy wasnt there. Cousin Gene and Junior were with him in Vegas...

A clue: cousin Billy Smith never traveled with Elvis in the 1950s, he was far too young; Billy was 13 in 1956.

You're right James, Gene Smith had a much
thinner face back in 56. But there's something
familiar about the boy in the grass next to Judy
and Elvis... ? And yes James, it's not young
Billy. You're right.... Who is he? Family ?
Him wearing Elvis' green jacket must say
something about their 'relationship' ?

not sure who the kid is but he does look very familiar. If he was a friend of Judy's that might account for him being there. It appears that Elvis is dressed the same in the group photos by the pool


The pool area had tables with umbrellas like the one in the rear of the picture but it looks like an awful lot of grass for the desert.

Unfortunately when Elvis appeared here in person..back in August, 1957...I wasn't able to attend the concert. Apparently Elvis was only able to sing about 5 songs,(people were screaming so much that noone could hear them anyway). Then the crowd stampeded towards the stage & the security people decided to end it. Many fans were very disappointed. That was the only time that he appeared in Vancouver, Canada...to my recollection. He wore his gold lame jacket & gold shoes that night. The same thing happened when Ricky Nelson appeared in concert here. He left nervously & hastely & never returned again. The crowds were too frightening. I've always regreted that I was never able to see either of them in person.
