When Memphis Elvis related activities are not the only ones, also related to Elvis, which are newsworthy, ,I say we must all drink to the good news.

Vikkie Crr's auction!! Some Elvis' rings to be a part of it.

I saw her on stage here and she spend 10 minutes talking about Elvis dedicating a song to her. And then she sang it, but before she did, I SAID OUT LOUD what she had told Elvis, something she had forgfotten to tell our audience. "I forgot now where I was playing" she said. And then I said, out loud, "The Tropicana", and then she said "Gee, incredible how people in Central America know everything Elvis has ever said."

The people on the national theater, a full house consisting of 1,200, at first thought she was taking too much time to tell a story about someone no one had seen perform, except me, but then when I told her about the Tropicana, all those around me looked at me.

As I left, about threepeople I didnt even know asked me how I knew and I told them " it's on tape, at youtube". The song she said Elvis dedicated to her was "It's now or never" . I wish she had asked me to get on that stage with her and sing it as a duo, as the National Theater remains, to this date, the sole venue I have yet to be caught singing in this country. And it got worse for me when I proceeded to decorate the country's most celebrated poet at that same stage, a week AFTER. LOL

The first TCB ring has been auctioned off again.

This time 525.000 USD plus commission.
It was last sold in 2020 for the amount of 350.000 usd.

Okay let's calculate the profit for this person.

2024: 525.000 - 20% commission = 420,000 +
2020: 352.500 + 25% commission = 440,625 -

total loss = - 20,625 USD in four years.

Well, according to PODS, The Myrtle Beach in SC/Wilmington, NC, tops the list of cities in the United States whose living conditions, etc, make it the most favored for people to move there. Not mentioned in the article is the non surprising fact that the city's top attraction, the Hard Rock Cafe, has an Elvis/Lennon/Marley/Hendrix dedication to die for. It is called Mount Rockmore.

The "difference" between Elvis and other celebrities, let alone singers, musicians, whatever, is his extraordinary resilience as a sort of MULTI USE brand name, including brands he did not himself favour.

From being, along with Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol's greatest subject (here the end products of the two icons garnering over $100m per silkscreen, one each), to special editions of Dunhill, Zippo, Dupont and MontBlanc fountain pens and lighters, American Crew hair grooming products, Coca Cola ads, Wines that Rock beverages, Martin and Gibson special edition guitars, Hamilton Ventura watches (now owned by SWATCH), Hermann toy's Elvis editions , and most recently both BMW 507-inspired special edition cars and Triumph bykes (in addition to the known Elvis inspired Harley Davidson byke editions, there is absolutely no end to his power as a brand name.

Note: He preferred Pepsi to Coca Cola, yet the latter won the day most probably from photos taken in 1956 including one by Wertheimer at the July 2 session at the old RCA recording studio in NYC.

Likewise, he used International Harvester tractors more than John Deere's or Caterpillar's but it was the John Deere Co, which after witnessing its restoring of his 4010, issued diecast models and has them for sale in thousands of their wordlwide locations, currently in some 30 countries in the five continents.

Here are the last two Elvis inspired "artifacts".

1) Elvis' BMW 507 inspired $312,000 edition (fifteen such cars only).

2) Elvis Triumph's Bonneville US$25,000 edition.

On the 47th anniversary of his death, Elvis still manages to trend, worldwide, in 200 countries and teritories, as high as he does, namely #16 overall and #1 as a singer, taking along his daughter Lisa Marie to #5 in the process.

most of these figures are nonsense. I challenge anyone including Forbes to find any IR tax return that incorporates these amounts, the IRS must look at this list most year and laugh at the absurdism involved. Never mind it make distracting news.
