The songs from those mid sixties soundtracks were poor for the most part, and it was a waste that Elvis was stuck doing so many of them, knowing what he was capable of. Having said that, there were still a few gems in the midst of all the garbage.

Yes, there are some ok songs amongst the garbage, the odd pretty ballad here and there, but i'm not blind that they are still mediocre material compared to what he was capable of.

I enjoy Kismet... Elvis does a nice job with it and the music is pleasant. It's a tiny beacon of light in a rather dark time soundtrack music-wise for Elvis. Nothing more, nothing less.

Because i'm a big Elvis fan and his good stuff outweighs the bad. In fact, his best recordings (54 - 62/68/69/) are the top of any music genre imo.
