He did, and so much so that he rejected some of the test pressings he heard from RCA before release.

In regards to this discussion, it's likely everyone wanted "Stuck On You" to be the first A-side.

Elvis' vocal is dynamite, especially on the bridge, where he absolutely blows it up, a la "One Night." So he was good with the choice.

Came to think of all those great sides of the early sixties singles. Even some of the late 50's ones too, where both sides deserved an even better chart position. That said: His greatest, are still the greatest, beeing A or B sides! We all do have them, love'em and play them, even today! :smt020
