Re: Last Elvis Youtube Clip You Watched?
(Just a quick note: and this will be my last post on this thread on this topic, because I don't want to further derail it in any way.)
And generally speaking, I feel that Elvis did this sort of thing a lot especially as the 70's wore on (I have grown tired of hearing it and it is a disappointment whenever I do).
Just my own personal opinion, fwiw, nothing more. From another perspective: I guess you could also say that I am just hungry for a serious, professional and fully committed concert — from beginning to end, all the way through — from our Hero. I know they exist, but I wish there were more (does that make any sense?).
I am only speaking as to the one show depicted in the video clip. As I have stated before, there is too much messing around for my tastes (so, it is not really a good show in my estimation).

Re: Last Elvis Youtube Clip You Watched?
He was in Vegas and it was the last show of the stint, he was bored and tired. If he was unwell then he wouldn't have sounded as good or energetic as he did during that Vegas stint.Yamaguchi.Y wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2024 9:54 pmHi Johnny2523,Johnny2523 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2024 1:41 pm
But also the artifacts from the upscaling dont help making it look worse. This is from the unaltered footage same moment
I understand and get your point regarding the artifacts, but he still looks tired to me (and the artifacts got nothing to do with his behavior and his body movements, etc.)
The man looks and behaves . . . unwell, to me.
(January '75, 40th birthday / depression / spending spree(s) / drug OD and consequent beginning of hospitalization through early February / Vernon suffers heart attack / installation of full-time nurse for EP / March "Star Is Born" offer / April, spending spree continues / later on that year plastic surgery / etc. My remarks are also made in the context of this background.)
