Your Go-to Gospel Source?
Regarding his Hand in Mine and He Touched Me albums etc, which are your go to sources for this kind of material? I've been thinking of getting the I BELIEVE GOSPEL MASTERS set? Wasn't this DSD from the original masters remastered by Vic? Is this still the best quality?

Re: Your Go-to Gospel Source?
The Vic/Sebastian masters from either the FTDs or the Complete Masters (whatever's newer). "I Believe" isn't bad at all, but I don't think it holds a candle to the newer masterings.dennyelvis on Mon Sep 30, 2019 12:49 am wrote:Regarding his Hand in Mine and He Touched Me albums etc, which are your go to sources for this kind of material? These tracks were not remixed...dennyelvis on Mon Sep 30, 2019 10:05 am wrote:What do you make of the Ultimate Gospel release ? I believe that was remixed too?
As Jamie said, TCM and/or the FTD's are the best sources... (depending on your preference)

I always prefer this one (on both CD and vinyl) mixed by Dennis Ferrante

Re: Your Go-to Gospel Source?
Any idea which tracks Dennis remixed on this release? Was it just the EOT numbers?Johnny2523 on Mon Sep 30, 2019 12:07 pm wrote:I always prefer this one (on both CD and vinyl) mixed by Dennis Ferrante

Re: Your Go-to Gospel Source?
The 3 releases (with bonus tracks) from 2008 mastered by Vic A sound fine even though they were budget/type with only 4 page booklets.

I own those 3 as well. Haven't played them in quite some time.Rob V on Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:15 am wrote:The 3 releases (with bonus tracks) from 2008 mastered by Vic A sound fine even though they were budget/type with only 4 page booklets.
