Re: Lost in Hollywood - reconstructed celluloid masters
Thanks for your [and everyone else's] kind words.
The next soundtrack up, Blue Hawaii [which will close out disc 1], requires substantial work [the vast majority of tracks had overdubs afforded to them] and is a project in itself.
Likely won't be completed until the new year.

Re: Lost in Hollywood - reconstructed celluloid masters
Would it be possible to also re-upload tracks 1-12 and 21-22 ? Or else, a link to the complete project ?
I've been late to the party, and always appreciate greatly your work....
Also look forward to your "Blue Hawaii" project ! Leon and Brent via YouTube did an entertaining presentation about this movie's soundtrack songs, and through the years I have come to adore this soundtrack more and more, the musicianship, sound quality, Elvis' voice, the songs chosen, most things about it.

Although some [mistakenly] hold it up as Exhibit A as the beginning of the downfall, I rate it [along with Fun in Acapulco] very highly, too.James27 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 5:58 amWould it be possible to also re-upload tracks 1-12 and 21-22 ? Or else, a link to the complete project ?

Allowing for some of the more obvious "situation songs", they're not too far removed from being concept albums in a way.
I'm glad we have them.
Oh, and the exclusive wonderful film versions are coming along very nicely, I might add.

Re: Lost in Hollywood - reconstructed celluloid masters
When you listen to these great tracks since 1962 like I do, you may tend to think you know every little music detail by heart. The merit of your wonderful work lies in the fact it reactivates magically the listening pleasure.
This is a wonderful Christmas gift.
Thank you so much and may you have a joyous holiday season !

This thread / post is a joy to read. Many, many thanks to the OP. I echo the sentiments that this is a wonderful Christmas gift to the EP fandom. (It's threads like this and a few other respectful members here that keep me returning to this mb and make visiting worthwhile.) Much appreciation to elvisalisellers.elvisalisellers wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 10:36 pm23. Blue Hawaii - orchestrated overdub

Re: Lost in Hollywood - reconstructed celluloid masters
AMAZING!! The versions of the songs are fantastic! I love them!
It's really a shame, RCA didn't released them in this form.
