What a delight (as usual) !
Take for example King of the whole wide world, one of these terrific Elvis rockers from the early 60's. The way he belts out the chorus "come on and sing..." is out of this world. Although I love the way the song is overdubbed in the movie, I always regretted the somewhat tight mono sound and the lack of depth.
Till now. Sound is so much better here than in the movie. I say it again, it's a delight.
Thank you very much Elvisalisellers !
Many thanks.
It was quite a challenge achieving a satisfactory stereo balance on that track with the scoring session overdubs being so prominent on the original mono mix.
I was mindful not to bring them down too much, as there would have been an even bigger hole [in the sound picture] when the Elvis track disappears during the instrumental break.
Interestingly, the movie trailer hasn't any overdubs present on any of the featured tracks.

I have no doubt about it, but you have perfectly managed the challenge.
And I love how you subtly incorporated the overdubbed movie elements whether for Riding the rainbow or the guitar intro in This is living.
Beyond your know-how, there is your much appreciated desire to share your work with any of us who love the bulk of Elvis production in the 60's.
As far as I'm concerned, I am delighted.

You're right, the overdubs have to be carefully interlaced [where possible], otherwise the disparity in sources can become more apparent.
Incidentally, the guitar intro of "This Is Living" is a partly manufactured edit, whereupon the pitch of the opening notes of the second bar were raised to serve as a clean opening composite lick.
Working on these true soundtrack versions has made me reevaluate [as I hope they do the same for others] some of these recordings.
For example, in light of the very sad passing of Elvis' daughter, "Home Is Where the Heart Is" has hit the emotional sweet spot like it never did before.
Production still from when the "A Whistling Tune" sequence was filmed.
In all likelihood, it's probably just an on-set snap taken in-between takes, but intriguing all the same, considering how heavily edited the version that appeared in the film was.

By any chance, would anyone be kind to upload these two songs as I missed downloading before they expired? I have all of the other files of the six parts so far. Many, many thanks in advance!!

Dear ElvisAliSellers, when do you think we're going to have more fantasticks tracks for Disc 2, these are so fantastically done that I can't wait
big thank you in advance
Not sure; been a bit busy of late with more mundane stuff.
I've done some of the groundwork for the Girls! Girls! Girls! soundtrack but no actual restoration, as yet.
Some of the tracks require a lot of work, while others may not even be possible to restore because of the volume of extraneous film noise/elements [for an example, check out, "A Boy Like Me, a Girl Like You" clip below].
But by God, we'll get there in the end.
01. King of the Whole Wide World - orchestrated/instrumental overdubs
02. This Is Living - instrumental/percussion overdubs
03. Riding the Rainbow - instrumental overdub
04. Home Is Where the Heart Is - orchestrated overdub Note: One of the very few occasions when the movie version superseded in length the initial record version
05. A Whistling Tune (movie edit) - orchestrated overdub
When your heart gets restless - time to move along,
When your heart gets weary - time to sing a song,
But when a dream is calling you
There's just one thing that you can do...
Santa Claus is back in town...in April !
From the powerful Girls ! Girls ! Girls ! to the charming Earth Boy, it is a delightful pleasure to listen to these enhanced tracks by master Elvisalisellers. This soundtrack may sound uneven to some, but for me this range of genres makes its strength and appeal. Elvis is in supreme voice and your fine work does justice to these songs.
Once more, thank you very much !
