Got a response from ElvisMatters late last evening telling me that the postal service they use (DHL) has a enormous backlog of packages. As of today the tracking code information is available in the app, saying that the package is reported but as of now not yet received. Hopefully DHL hasn't lost the packages as I'm looking forward to the Blue Hawaii set very much.

The notes to the new FTD covering Elvis performing in New York in June 1972 are really good, from Ernst's introduction to Pål Granlunds personal experience at the June 9th press conference to the full transcription of the press Q&A and finally the late Phil Gelormine's thoughtful, detailed essay on the MSG event. Really well-done here.

This is a joyful release, some of our angrier members should pick up a copy ASAP.

Yes, I completely agree with you on your assesment of the booklet and the notes. I was wondering how they would approach this set in regards to cover design, booklet and liner notes with a similar release in the back catalogue ("Prince from another planet") without much redundancy and I think they did really good with what they came up with.

This is one of the times were I honestly was a bit of hesitant when the news of the MSG shows as the next FTD release were announced. But I honestly couldn't be happier with the finished product in my collection and I'm glad I bought it.

With the Aloha release, FTD could also include both 1972 Vegas and Hawaii press announcement and interview for the sake of "completeness"

I have PFAP, I was given it as present for my 17th birthday and I listened to the concerts dozens of times. I love the shows and performances. Maybe I will get this one also.

FTD already issued their "Aloha" package 13 months ago, the 3xCD track listing is all music.

If they had included recordings of the announcement and conference then we would have the most complete Aloha project in terms of audio.

The Blu-Ray is still to be done though, depending if Sony can make a profit.

At least you received a DHL code. There are several of us who are still awaiting for this though we were told the order had shipped but have received no code from Elvis Matters. I am sure they are going to send the packages but it would be nice if we could be given our tracking numbers.

It would indeed be nice to receive a tracking number or a response.

I'm slowly progressing through "The Making of Blue Hawaii". As always I could point out things that aren't perfect (nothing major) but I really don't want to at this point. What a labor of love! What a quality product! Thanks @davide, Pål Granlund & team.

Giving the first 2 Blue Hawaii discs a spin through headphones this morning while also reading the music part of the book and the sound is absolutely stunning in my opinion. Unfortunately the very first chapter of this book sums up Elvis Presley the film star where they quote Freddie Beinstock " It was like a factory" rolling out music for his films as they came around that qickly.I won't compare to other versions as I don't have the time or inclination to do so. I take each version for what is and so far this is £200 well spent.

Listened to both MSG and Blue Hawaii from FTD today. Absolutely stunning. Both are BRILLIANT soundwise. Packaging MSG is very good; Blue Hawaii is STUNNING and high quality. Only minor: first takes Can't Help Falling In Love not from tape but on the plus side: certainly an upgrade in sound compared to what we had.

The Blue Hawaii set would have been delivered today, but as I was at work today and don't want anything delivered at the neighbors I moved the delivery to Monday. I hope everyone, especially oversees gets their tracking code/package soon.

Edit: Don't know what's going on with DHL. Got a confirmation the delivery was changed to Monday on my request, yet tonight the Blue Hawaii set was delivered. At least it got here.
