Elvis cd’s - what Do you play yours on ?
I am getting quite the extensive cd collection. If this is off topic please move to Appropriate section my Apologies btw , but back to the collection I am trying to build up my FTD collection and also Japanese Elvis cd collection as well. I am currently looking for a decent but not to expensive cd player to listen to them on. I was hoping that all you cd fans could let me know what you play your cd’s on. I was looking for something that is descent sounding but doesn’t cost a fortune. Do you have just a small cd player or a nice system. I want something that will let me enjoy the sound so to speak. I have several FTD’s to listen to. What is your current player at the moment. Sadly I have not had a stereo for quite some time and have been using my IPhone to listen to Apple Music thru my truck stereo lol.

I play my music thru my Panasonic UB-9000 4k player connected to
my Yamaha aventage receiver going to my klipsch towers.

Re: Elvis cd’s - what Do you play yours on ?
I have not owned a CD player for years. All of mine are ripped on to a server. If I had to play a CD, (without ripping it in to the server) it would be on CD drive attached to my M1 MacBook.
From the MacBook sound is sent to an iFi Zen 2 DAC. This has an balanced 3.5mm out for headphones, which are HifiMan Sundara headphones.

So you just listen to music exclusively thru headphones?Scoobie wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 10:57 amI have not owned a CD player for years. All of mine are ripped on to a server. If I had to play a CD, (without ripping it in to the server) it would be on CD drive attached to my M1 MacBook.

Headphones are my preffered choice, I can use airplay to my amplifier and speakers if I choose to.Kylan wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 11:58 amSo you just listen to music exclusively thru headphones?Scoobie wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 10:57 amI have not owned a CD player for years. The amplifier is mainly used for records and tapes.

At home I usually play my cd's on my Bose Wave Soundtouch IV. Small system (small house) with excellent sound.

I rip all my cds to flac files and play them with a portable flac player. It feels like I’m back in the 90s when I listened to EP with my Walkman, later a discman

I have a trusty and space saving Ruark. But I am limited in a small flat.
Accused of being "a nerd in his 20s." I wish.

An inexpensive KLM portable cd player with Beats headphones. Sounds really good to me.

Re: Elvis cd’s - what Do you play yours on ?
I haven't played a CD in years. I play the files on a Hiby R5 Gen ii DAP, through either a JBL speaker or Beoplay H95 headphones (which I'm still paying for on instalments).
I don't know where people find the time to do some of the things I read about on here. I've got a wife, kids, grandkids, a dog and a house to worry about.

Saturday mornings before dawn. Light a candle, put on the headphones and sip some coffee while listening to the latest (or an oldie) release.Wonderwall wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 8:34 pmI don't know where people find the time to do some of the things I read about on here.

Re: Elvis cd’s - what Do you play yours on ?
90% of my listening is vinyl but I listen to CD's on a Audiolab 6000CDT player through an Audiolab 6000a integrated amp and QUAD S2 speakers or Seinnheiser 660S headphones.
I usually have a couple of 5/6 hour listening sessions a week although not so much Elvis these days.

I have three different CD players that I use. One is a Keiid player. Its a very good unit. I also have a JVC boombox and a Sony player that looks like a speaker. I like the quality of them all.
Re: Elvis cd’s - what Do you play yours on ?
In my car CD player or occasionally at home on my cd player.

My private music theatre...............then when out in the back yard my big JBL bluetooth speaker............I also have a 58 Wurlitzer Jukebox too and the sound is awesome for those old 45's!!!!

Re: Elvis cd’s - what Do you play yours on ?
Hilarious. I remember back in the day when my Pops friend used to come over and take us kids riding in his Mustang blasting Elvis On 8 track tapes.
Find memories.
He had a whole case of them, but that twin pack Elvis was the one he used to play a lot.
