What puzzles me about the title is that "Spring Spririt" was recorded in the middle of winter ...February '74.

Lack of oversight, perhaps ?

Yet another title I don't get: A Matter Of Duty ?

Duty calls?

This was just the second performance since the disaster at Houston's Summit the day before.

I'm looking forward to the sequel, "Nature Calls," a newly restored recording of Elvis' legendary appearance in Baltimore in May, 1977.

Please take the Mobile show with greatest reservations..to say the least..
Houston the day before was a desaster..the 2 Mobile shows the follwing day
presented Elvis half asleep..he surely didn`t know where he was..pass it..you
won`t regret it..believe me..

The Vegas February 1974 show is standard with no surprises....work done...
If you are interested in these shows..take it..

Thanks to Ernst Joergensen, Roger Semon and Erik Rasmussen for the great work. Keep the spirit alive !

On the 2:30 show:

"A single from a new album Hurt was impressive initially but the audience was nevertheless streaming out to avoid the traffic rush - not like the old days when they stayed to the absolute end ... and then begged for more. Some didn't even turn to get a final look"

OUch...

This 8:30 show was better, I have to check it out..

The covers certainly are. Maybe these people get their kids to design them to save money.

Much rather have the closing show in 2-74 come out. Openers and closers are usually different enough for me to track them down.

As Cisco says the D/S closing on the Feb 74' is 'complete standard fare' Zero surprize their. The Mobile E/S on the 29th August IS an improvement upon the A/S but not that much really.....Elvis didn't up his performance on this poor tour until 4th September onwards so certainly save your money and don't buy these 2 shows. Also TAKE NOTE' no mention of what the sound quality is like.....so bet it is average at best! :|

The covers are OK, the contents seem to be less so.

I wonder how one can say anything about the performance at all as the audio on the CDR that floats around is almost unlistenable? They must have a new source as the old one can't be used for a release.

Are there really people who still pay money for audience recorded (crap sound quality) shows?

The answer is "no". The labels keep releasing those CDs but the number of copies they sell equals zero. Guess the people behind them must be filthy rich.

No. The companies press the CDs and then they are given away as gifts. Nobody has to pay for them anymore. As a matter of fact, when I ordered my last audience recorded CD, I was given $20.00 for going to the trouble of ordering it.

I'll let all of you knob-gobblers know how these are.

You're welcome -- it's what I do.

The Show Room and Management 3 labels have put out some pretty decent sounding shows in the past and these will more than likely be the same way. However, I've always said that I'd rather hear a show in bad quality than to never hear it at all.

But that's just the way I be chillin'.

We are able to say that Mobile August 29, 1976 ES is horrible... performance wise.
Even a better sounding source wouldn`t make the show better..it would even uncover
more..and that`s just sad.
Just for the very die-hard collectors ....only positive thing.debut on silver disc,

Btw..I see no reason at all for defending such downhill shows...no matter which
arguments you bring..it`s one of the worst shows I have ever heard...if we`d release
it on FTD you would lynch me..
