Hawaii 57

Here you can also post any related video's of Elvis too, except impersonator video's where they imitate Elvis' voice of material he recorded.

The Elizabeth Moore home movie footage from Honolulu, 11-10-1957 AS (Sun).

With synced audio from Honolulu a few years later, his show on 3-25-1961 (Sat).

I see this upload is just a few days old. Unfortunately it appears to be copied from the Elvis World Japan video, which went up in 2016.

Looks like someone narrowed view in the 2021 upload in order to hide the EWJ mark.

That's not good. Any idea who created your video?

Otherwise . . .

More of . . . Moore's film shows Elvis on the deck of the SS Matsonia, en route to Pier 10 in Honolulu by Saturday morning.

Elvis left Los Angeles on 11-05-1957 (Tue), but in the above video the first thing we see are shots of Treasure Island, the Bay Bridge, the Marin Headlands, and the Golden Gate Bridge. All are part of the San Francisco Bay.

This indicates that Elizabeth and her husband Ken boarded there, and the ship made a stop in L.A. before heading west to the soon-to-be Aloha State.

Never noticed that before. I'll bet no one ever has . . . until now.

I do wish EPE would restore every viewable inch of her film, from ship to shore to stage, sync appropriate audio, and allow fans to purchase the results.

It's only been 64+ years . . .
