And another thing.

The more I hear A Thing Called Love the further back Elvis' voice gets !

To the point where he's hardly discernable at all !

The original album wasn't like that, was it ?

Or is it an 'age' thing ?

Well, maybe you are right !

This used to sound like a fairly 'normal' Elvis track, albeit virtually sung as a 'duet'.

But when I hear it these days, I wonder where his vocal has gone !

To my ears Elvis has always sounded way way back, almost to the point where he might as well not be there at all.

Thanks !

At least it's not just me then !

But I just thought that his presence made itself known a tad more on the vinyl album, that's all...............

I stand corrected by myself!!

"Bosom of Abraham" has actually two chords. "I John" has only one.

Voted for "Bosom of Abraham"!
My favorite back in 73 when I got the album as a birthday present would probably have been " I got confidence" or "Seeing is believin"
I still like those songs and really think this is a good album but it sure could need some upgrade, soundwise.
The only song I really don´t like on this album is " There is no God, but God"

It's pretty good.

The more 'bluesy' outtake is even better !

On which CD do we have that? Remember which take it is?
