Ouite frankly, I don't like the studio recording at all. If I must listen to this song I prefer the rehearsal. So make it 10 votes for that option.

Yup.

What Chips and the band conjured up in Memphis is creativity unbound. And Elvis responds in kind.

The 1970 rehearsal is a basic, twelve-bar blues arrangement by a band that did not know the one used by Elvis during the American Sound sessions. The same template would be employed at the May 1971 Nashville session where he waxed his rendition of "Merry Christmas Baby."
