Today I get discharged...still have pain in the shoulder

Actually, when used appropriately in a hospital setting, a powerful opioid such as Dilaudid (sp?) can speed recovery and also cut down the pain duration. This means that less pain meds are needed later.
I know you were just kidding, but some people are so terrified of these medications that they prolong and intensify their suffering. And THAT can then cause other problems.

Things are going a bit better now.. I have reduced the dosis of painkillers to 8 a day....
I have dropped the real strong one....the nights are still hard,..though..
