Elvis Tribute Artist Appreciation Topic

Post by TCB-FAN »

I'll start this thread by posting a few performances of perhaps my personal favorite ETA of all time, Mr. Bill Cherry. Bill hails from Deland, Florida, U.S., is 63 years old & stands at 6 foot 4 inches tall. His stage presence & vocal performances is second to none, but that is just my opinion. He's been doing these Elvis shows for over 20 years & has won countless ETA awards worldwide. He specializes in the 1972-77 concert era performances & does it quite well, imho. :D

Here's a sample of some of his recent performances........

Just started watching ETAs again after many years.

I agree that Bill is one of the best. My only wish is that he would stop doing the Sundial 77 shows when his 1972-1974 re-creations are far better representations of Elvis at the top of his game.

I did not realize that Bill was in his 60s. Impressive how he can still do the Polk Salad moves so well.

Is he really 6ft4inches? He doesn't look that tall, closer to 5'10". I do hope to see him live one of these days soon.

I'm sure many here will not like this, or perhaps some will? But since this is a topic about ETA's, what're your thoughts about Pete "Big Elvis" Vallee?

My thoughts are this, he sings OK but REALLY needs to lose ALL of that weight. It's VERY unhealthy for anyone to be in that kind of shape.

Pete Vallee has a great singing voice in spite of his severe health condition. But being morbidly obese like that is no laughing matter. Wish him all the best.

I have nothing against Pete Vallee. But many people now think that the real Elvis was that fat. He wasn't. So I don't like that at all.?
