good work here by isolated tracks :D

Deconstructing Two Of Us - The Beatles (Isolated Tracks)

Although the song can be interpreted with John and Paul in mind it was written in 1969 about Linda. Linda and Paul would go on drives around London and as Paul says, "She loved getting lost. And she pointed out to me quite rightly that there would always be a sign somewhere saying 'London,' so we'd just follow that." In Paul's The Lyrics he also added that, “We'd just enjoy sitting out in nature. And this song was about that: doing nothing, trying to get lost. It's a favorite of mine because it reminds me of that period, getting together with Linda, and the wonderfully free attitude we were able to have. I had my guitar with me and I wrote it out on the road, and then maybe finished some of the verses at home later, but that picture is of me writing it.”

When the group started working on the song it was a faster electric version as can be heard here: • The Beatles - Two Of Us (Upbeat & Fa... . Once the group moved from Twickenham to Apple Studio's they completely reworked the arrangement. The group agreeing that the electric version was "very stiff". The final arrangement had John and Paul on acoustic, George on electric guitar, and of course Ringo on drums switching to a galloping pattern. The song is similar to I'll Follow the Sun which also didn't have a bass instead having George on guitar filling in a similar role. After a full run through of the new arrangement George put it best saying that it was now, "Quite lovely". The take that was used was take 12 from January 31, 1969 with the beginning and end of the take being heard in the video.

Interestingly enough George only plays with his thumb until the first "We're on our way home" at which he switches to picking for the rest of the song. John's guitar is out of tune as well but it really adds to the song. Also the footage in the beginning and end are just random shots from January 31st.

found this interesting Sweden TV music-talk show (LOL except i mistakenly called it a deutch music-TV show  ) on The Beatles and Lennon made in 1991.
My next move was to post it as a topic over on Steve Hoffman forums re: the ellusive Back in the USSR clip, but i was not able to get anywhere as to the origins of the video or the one they played in AU i saw in 1982 and again 1983, but never again!

Anyone here recall seeing this rare Back in the USSR video before? Was it made in the late 60's.

"Back In The U.S.S.R. @ 52:46 mark........it appears to be a video produced in the 1980's or early 90's (most likely taken from a rare documentary of some kind) using the soundtrack & 1960's stock footage when this talk show segment aired. I doubt this was an original video done back when the song was recorded.

yeah, like the "Love me do" and "Please Please Me" clips.

I know in australia we had our "Back in the USSR" video, very close to that Sweden clip. The aussie clip i saw in 1982 or 1983 but never since :?

The Story of The Beatles (Kings Features) Cartoons & Why They Will Never Be Shown Again...

that's a damn shame. Them cartoons was my first introduction to the Beatles in 1975-76.

They got shown here on morning television about 7-730am weekday mornings as a kid i would watch as i was getting prepared for school. If i'm not mistaken the cartoon series was limited to two years 1966-1967.
