Thank you for the upload. I love the cover art, and the "new" Al Wertheimer images used in the article.
Note the hilarious hyperbole on the cover:
"... AND 9 OTHER UNAFRAID ARTICLES"
The parents of Albert Goldman must have been behind this magazine. They clearly did not like Presley:
"The young man with his face screwed in anguish above is topically (and, we trust, temporarily) famous young man who makes a fine living by knocking himself out. He doesn't dare relax because if he does he might find himself out of a job."
"In our book, Elvis Presley is one of the slickest, smoothest, sharpest phonies to ever con a sucker."
If you look at the letter excerpts carefully, at least some come from the leaders of fan clubs of the time, such as the one from Linda Wheeler of Dallas. Her sister Kay ran the first national Presley fan club.

Thank you very much for another piece of history. Indeed, Elvis controversy was huge in 56, anybody had an opinion about poor Elvis: hate or love. It was hard to be in Elvis' shoes in those days...
