To check if it was a known photograph, my first step was to look at the EPSS-site. There I found this one:
The similarity between the two is striking. But, now my question: is it the same photo (a bit photoshopped around the mound and to make it look older), or is it a different one? I really can't tell. The "old looking photo" is a bit cropped.

Yeah, that's what I thought: touched up a bit. But before Photoshop existed - according to your photos. So they did a good job in retouching at that time already! Nice to know

I have the original photo of this in storage I can tell you for a fact it is a fan club photo, and was only acquired through the fan club in '56 I believe to be the correct year.

Ok I have to check my photo again . It must differ from this one then, or it is from this set . The stamp on the back reads "only" may be "Mail Only" instead of "Fan Club"
