His most favorite memory was interviewing Elvis in Buffalo, 1957:
"We were all looking forward to the concert - of course he was too. The back stage was mobbed as clustered as it was with everybody. I was able to get to him- and put the recorder to work," said Nickson.

Makes me wonder: has any audio of this interview ever surfaced? If not: would that radiostation still have it?
Nick Nickson worked for WBBF Radio in Buffalo, NY up to 1967. Sorry to read of his passing. I'm not familiar with any interview of Elvis by him. As for the audio, most stations don't keep archives going back 55+ years, but it seems that either Nickson or WBBF must have donated materials to St. John Fisher College. Take a look at this listing:
