Not that rare. An eBay photo link was posted on FECC in June 2015 by Mississippi, and I uploaded the images:
The best guess is this is backstage at Bell Auditorium in Augusta on 6-27-1956, possibly taken by Augusta Chronicle photographer Robert Symms. You can see other Augusta June 1956 photos and stories here:
