I absolutely LOVE that summer '72 footage. He looked like an absolute boss in those two-piece suits. He should've continued wearing them since this was right before the time that the flamboyant jumpsuits were getting out of hand. Unfortunately Elvis chose a different path.

The August 1972 footage is excellent. The 2 piece suits looked great!

July 1975 is really the last time Elvis looked good. No puff in his face. He was a bit overweight but did not look sick.

The '72 footage is fantastic.

Elvis looked so much better in the 2-piece suits instead of the jumpsuits.

Nice finds, thank you.

The 7-19-1975 AS Uniondale footage was made by someone quite close, and the original film must look wonderful. Elvis had a lot of energy that day in New York, both shows are very enjoyable, with some real rock 'n' roll excitement. It's funny to notice some of the poses in that :82 clip which were captured in photos, some of which became bootleg album covers.

Watching both the 1975 and 1972 videos once again reminds me that there is a great deal of quality concert footage out there, and it is a damn shame the best of it cannot be remastered from the original source/s and released to all the fans. This stuff is 40 to 43 years old. We're never going to have such a release in our lifetimes.

Doc, I think the Uniondale concert is the best of 1975. Too bad it wasn't filmed professionally. Maybe, just maybe, if this concert became another TV special for Elvis instead of Elvis in Concert from 1977, the image of Elvis was far better and the damage from his last TV special never could happen.

Yes he looked great sideburns and hair trimmed a pot belly yes but so what it's Elvis, the audience recording for this show is great, the 2nd show when he did the guitar thing at the end and threw it back he knocked the mic stand over :-D

Wished they filmed the New Years Eve concert 1976/1977 professionally for his last TV-Special. He was in such a good spirit those days.

Musically and otherwise it would have been better than the posthumous disaster that was 1977's "Elvis In Concert." But, in truth, neither Uniondale in 1975 nor Pittsburgh in 1976 gave us an Elvis who should have been seen headlining a network television special. At best, it would have been seen like "Aloha" redone, only far less interesting (no "worldwide broadcast" hook, no exotic locale, no svelte star).

Hi Mike,

Fantastic 1972 footage in that clips you posted!
Do you have a screenshot of the DVD where this came from?
And do you know anything about the region (region free or region 2 ?)
I'd like to try to order this from somewhere.
Thx!

Edwin

Don't know the answers to your questions. I found this on YouTube and shared it here. Marco King was the original poster, as stated in my OP. Perhaps you can ask him via YouTube:
