I came up with this topic because it was announced on Detroit's local news in October 2015 that the Silverdome will be demolished in the spring of 2016:

Interesting that the designer of the poster made Elvis a lefty.

Note that the lazy poster advert likely came directly from Presley management, as the same reversed image, or a variant, is seen in various ads from the period. Such lack of attention to detail was not atypical, unfortunately.MikeFromHolland on Sat Sep 15, 2018 11:03 am wrote:IndeedKHoots on Mon Feb 29, 2016 3:54 pm wrote:Interesting that the designer of the poster made Elvis a lefty.![]()
Thanks for sharing that review, sorry I missed the original upload.
Since then, I found that the review appeared in the 1-02-1976 (Fri) edition of the Detroit Free Press, on a page with some very interesting motion picture advertisements. Your copy also omitted the title given to the piece, "Fat Cat Elvis' Show Suffers." Ouch.
Carl Arrington's observations are deadly honest, and point out pretty much everything that was going wrong with the "Elvis Presley Show" as 1975 came to a close. I wonder if Elvis saw it? Or anyone in the group?
