The picture from 1973 was from Vegas, August 1973? Does anybody know if the trophy he received was a gold record? If it is, for what song or album?

You've never walked in that man's shoes or seen things through his eyes
Or stood and watched with helpless hands while the heart inside you dies
So help your brother along the road no matter where you start
For the God that made you, made them too, these men with broken hearts
Or stood and watched with helpless hands while the heart inside you dies
So help your brother along the road no matter where you start
For the God that made you, made them too, these men with broken hearts

From Paul´s Elvis Page ---> https://www.elvis-collectors.com/candid-central/nassau.html
"Before his matinee show at the Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale (Long Island, NY) on June 24, 1973 - In the photos are members of the Norwegian Fan Club, "Flaming Star", presenting Elvis with the Norwegian silver record for She's Not You/Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello and Aloha From Hawaii..."

Re: Tinkering With Colour
This photo is a big favourite of mine ever since I purchased the Elvis In Concert Album (1977) back in the early 80's. I was 13 years old and my dad used to work away for the summer season, when he came home at the end of summer around October he would have saved quite a bit of money and we would always go to a town called Wigan in the UK. They used to have an indoor market there which had a record shop, it had a great range of original collectors albums. I was literally like a kid in a candy store, I remember also buying Elvis As Recorded At Madison Square Gardens (I was amazed).
Unfortunately my dad really wasn't a fan of Elvis, he was more of a beatles fan (Booo, ha ha). He did however teach me how to look after my records and clean then and made sure I put the dust cover in the right way.
In the late 80's compact disks became available so I started to collect Elvis CD's instead in the belief that the sound quality would be better... by the early 90's I was in my early 20's, I was more into the music of the time, I then foolishly decided to sell my vinyl collection (oh how I regret that decision). I sold close to 100 albums of all sorts of quality, originals and of course some camden
I got married in 1996 and refound my love of Elvis music and had dug out the CD's, I had a top of the range CD player but didn't have a record player. The quality of sound wasn't what I remembered and looked to find out why that would be the case. I then found out that most records were just copied and recorded to CD so any imperfections came with them.
Flash forward to 2020 and I have basically had to rebuy all those Elvis albums on vinyl over the last 20 years to get that same great feeling I had experienced from the early 80's only a lot more expensive
And that memory was triggered by one photo.

Re: Tinkering With Colour
ME TOO!
Sensational work - love the Cape shots - so "Elvis".
Brilliant work all round.
You really should offer your services to Ernst / Roger.
They have used colourised shots before but none as good as these.
Cheers,
Piers

This is the crossover point from bored film star into his re-energised king of Rock n Roll

Re: Tinkering With Colour
Matt can you color this one. I found this photo from Toledo online and cleaned it up, but I have no idea what the colors should be.
