Not a fan of altering historical artifacts. However, your work is fantastic. How many hours did it take for was each photo?

Re: Tinkering With Colour
Hi, each photo can take different amounts of time. The 1972 photo took about two hours, the 1973 photo is June 24th at Nassau took longer and I didn't get the skin tone I wanted but was more pleased with the Jumpsuit.
Thank you everyone for the kind comments, I will add some more soon.

Re: Tinkering With Colour
I love this November look that Elvis had going on, the longer hair suits him.

I haven't seen a good quality of this in colour, I'm sure one is out there. Not his finest moment I grant you.

Re: Tinkering With Colour
One of my favourite Jumpsuits, there are not that many quality pictures of this suit. Snowflake aka Philedelphia Spectrum

Re: Tinkering With Colour
White Fireworks 1971, another of those rarely worn Jumpsuits. Somebody is holding on to some lovely clear shot of these in colour. Wish there were more.

Re: Tinkering With Colour
Matt the ail he is phenomenal. Is you decide on the skin tone. From the B and W's i always assumed he was ghastly pale. Thx.Matt Ashton wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 9:03 pmI haven't seen a good quality of this in colour, I'm sure one is out there. Not his finest moment I grant you.

Re: Tinkering With Colour
I have always thought the black & white photos make him look worse, I added the colour to see what if any change it would make. Still looks very poorly.fn2drive wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 4:07 amMatt the ail he is phenomenal. Is you decide on the skin tone. From the B and W's i always assumed he was ghastly pale. Re: Tinkering With Colour
You are doing a great job Matt. The challenge with photos is the angel, the lighting, the facial expression, even whether a picture is in color or not, may not catch a person at their best moment. Still, I like the color you added even to the picture in question, it does bring it alive more.Matt Ashton wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:44 am

the inner part of the wings of the bird on the Chief belt should be white.

Re: Tinkering With Colour
My comment was muddled on my device. 1st the work on the Indian Feather is unreal-such attention to detail. 2nd. I have looked at that photo in BW a hundred times and never noticed he didn't/it couldn't be zippered. Your work shows that so clearly. 3rd would love to see different/more realistic skin tone. But thank you for using your gift here.Matt Ashton wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:44 amI have always thought the black & white photos make him look worse, I added the colour to see what if any change it would make.
