Re: is this a 1976 picture?
From Elvis Presley fans of Nashville FB posted on april 12, 2019:
"April 12, 1976: Elvis went shopping at Southland Mall in Memphis located on Elvis Presley Blvd. Elvis shopped frequently at the Sears and at Kilgore's Pet Shop. Here is Elvis exiting the mall through a back entrance getting into his Stutz Blackhawk.
Southland Mall, built in 1966 was the first enclosed mall in the Mid-South.
Sears at Southland Mall, would frequently stay open after hours for Elvis and his entourage. Elvis purchased clothing, everyday items, holiday decorations, Christmas and birthday gifts and random household items from Sears".

You've never walked in that man's shoes or seen things through his eyes
Or stood and watched with helpless hands while the heart inside you dies
So help your brother along the road no matter where you start
For the God that made you, made them too, these men with broken hearts
Or stood and watched with helpless hands while the heart inside you dies
So help your brother along the road no matter where you start
For the God that made you, made them too, these men with broken hearts

Although I understand the reason, it is curious and a bit sad that one of the most famous person in the world, during his lifetime, had to sneak through alleys and back entrances in order to preserve just a shred of his privacy.

Or . . . he thought he needed to do that.
He should've just popped in like anyone else during less busy hours and it would've been good for his psyche.
It's another lesson other super-famous folks learned from Elvis.
