Here's another photo of the team, taken in 1976.

Re: Elvis TCB Band, Circa 1979
I wonder what occasion the whole group would have gathered all together!
No, I think this photo was taken before August 1977 and, at the airport before leaving on tour

This has to be from 1973, with Emory Gordy on board!
I saw it on the Ronnie Tutt FB page and what a kick ass picture!

Ed Bonja made that photo. I saw that he sold it at the Elvis Event in Bad Nauheim this year. It was a chrystal clear photo in color. Very impressive and way cool!

Great photo but even greater if Elvis had been in that group too. Can anyone decently "photoshop" him in the picture?

no need to do so and fake history. there are too many photoshopped fotos around already.whatsupdoc wrote:Great photo but even greater if Elvis had been in that group too. Can anyone decently "photoshop" him in the picture?
fantastic pic, by the way, paul should include it into his candid pages!

I love the message on Big Al's shirt.

Tony Brown and David Briggs are in the picture which date it post April 1976 but not later than 21 February 1977 (when Briggs he left the band).

The 1975 reference is to the first photo, which no longer displays because it's a dead FB image link.

Bumping to see if a better version is available of the 1976 TCB Band photo originally shared by TCB-Fan. Can we narrow down the timeline for when this Ed Bonja shot was taken? Interesting that he had stopped photographing Elvis the previous year but was still on tour--at least when this photo was captured.

I still desire a higher resolution shot if it's out there...relatively few photos exist of Tony Brown's tenure in the waning days of the TCB Band.

June 7, 1975 - Elvis entering the afternoon show in Shreveport, preceded by his group walking in. Claude Laliberte (president of the fan club that sought people to follow Elvis on this tour) is speaking with Jerry.

Wow! What a thrill it must have been to speak to the members of the TCB band!!! Let alone Elvis!! I would have loved to have been in that position in the 1970s.

I wonder if the band could be approached by normal people at their arriving or special allowed people only at that entrance outside the building.

Normal people? Is a long-time Elvis fan, who saw 17 Elvis concerts in 12 days normal? If so, yes!

I meant "people"who maybe don't have connections to get behind a certain line.
Somebody who often visited concerts can still be "normal" but because of visiting often the concerts and staying around got to known band members and got maybe privileged access (to the band) if the band arrived.
That is what I meant and wanted an answer.

Re: Elvis TCB Band, Circa 1975
Well, you did ask about normal people -- whatever you had in mind when you said that -- I didn't know if you were being sarcastic -- it's hard to read words and know the real meaning of what people are saying sometimes. Yes, anyone could have approached them walking into the building, or go to the front of the stage when the show was over -- they would talk with you and sign autographs when possible. Fans often ran into them in hotel lobbies and restaurants, from what I read.
