Just found a couple more extremely rare made-for-TV american films.

First up, hows about A Circle of Children (1977). This starred Jane ALEXANDER, Rachel ROBERTS and David OGDEN STIERS.


Plot...
A teacher at a school for emotionally disturbed children takes an interest in one particular child (Matthew Laborteaux of "Little House on the Prairie") who doesn't talk but emits a stream of gibberish.



Next is The Hunted Lady (also 1977) with Donna MILLS. I think this predates her famous Knots Landing series by 3 years.

Plot - An undercover policewoman finds herself framed for murder by a crime.

The TV series Pilot of Paper Dolls is available on YT. Another one with Morgan FAIRCHILD Also featuring Nicollette Sheridan (of Knots Landing fame), Terry Farrell and Mimi Rogers.



I am looking forward to watching this one as i don't remember there ever being a TV series, only the movie.

Just found this gem 1973 interview. Lee Remick talked about her role in The Blue Knight (which has been added earlier on this thread). She also talked about her previous movies and relocating to England.

Good to see that this Lee Remick made for television film "Jesse" is available, albeit in average quality.
She plays nurse Jesse Maloney, a small-town nurse who is arrested and charged for practicing medicine without a licence.
She fights her case in court, with the support of the entire town in Meredith, California.
The script is based on the true story of Patricia Coda, a Death Valley, California, nurse and her 1965 trial.

Hereby I’d like to appreciate “King of Jazz”, a technicolor(!) movie from 1930, by John Murray Anderson.

We see and hear - among others - Bing Crosby as part of the Rhythm Boys.

In 2013, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

i saw the "dramedy" with Douglas and Diane Keaton.....pretty cookie cutter movie , Douglas plays an awkward real estate guy , prolly a role Nicholson couldve played too , i imagine. Nothing really memorable here but not a bad movie......

Blow Up 4/6 , not for me.....bizarre ending while the murder thing is overlooked , hmm. Photographer goes all over the place and happens to see a dead body in a park when he blows up a photo , theres not much of a story in the movie imo

Agreed. I could never understand what is it about the movie that makes it so appealing.
The 1981 remake "Blow Out" is better imo but not by much.

The 1981 remake "Blow Out" is better imo but not by much.

Yes, I saw Blow Up again recently. I liked it very much the first time around, but I think I just had the hots for David Hemmings at the time. It's aged very badly, too. The treatment of the women in the film is totally cringeworthy - and continues throughout many of Hemmings' films for the next decade, I might add.

I agree that the semi-remake (or is it a tribute?) Blow Out is better.

They should remake the film for today's audience only this time with a more engrossing, better storyline as it evolves.

Yes, the soundtrack is wonderful. Herbie Hancock and The Yardbirds, I think.

There is a good storyline lurking in there somewhere, but it just gets tossed away.

There's a great scene at the point of 1:20 where James BROLIN looses it and confronts Donna MILLS on her one-night stands, extra-marital affairs.
