Tennis star Emma Raducanu has said she is "extremely grateful" after meeting the King and receiving her MBE.
The 20-year-old was awarded the honour for services to tennis, at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Raducanu, from Bromley in south-east London, won the US Open in September 2021 when she was 18 years old.
She became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam singles title since Virginia Wade in 1977 and the first qualifier of any nationality to do so.

Re: Emma Raducanu receives MBE from the King
Proud and deserved honor for young Emma. There'll be critics who say she's a one-slam wonder and question mark on what's supposed to be a high honor. But shes the first british woman since Virginia Wade (Wimbledon 1977) to win a Grand-Slam title.
Let's hope Emma can have a better year on the tennis circuit in 2023.

Re: Emma Raducanu receives MBE from the King
I was born in Bromley and lived in the area until last year, so was thrilled when she won the US Open. She used to train at the tennis club associated with my secondary school.
Hope she can back to that level of performance from last summer.
