Your Go-to Gospel Source?

Post by dennyelvis »

Regarding his Hand in Mine and He Touched Me albums etc, which are your go to sources for this kind of material? I've been thinking of getting the I BELIEVE GOSPEL MASTERS set? Wasn't this DSD from the original masters remastered by Vic? Is this still the best quality?

The Vic/Sebastian masters from either the FTDs or the Complete Masters (whatever's newer). "I Believe" isn't bad at all, but I don't think it holds a candle to the newer masterings.

These tracks were not remixed...

As Jamie said, TCM and/or the FTD's are the best sources... (depending on your preference)

Any idea which tracks Dennis remixed on this release? Was it just the EOT numbers?

The 3 releases (with bonus tracks) from 2008 mastered by Vic A sound fine even though they were budget/type with only 4 page booklets.

I own those 3 as well. Haven't played them in quite some time.
