Do you remember what district is this school?
It's not really a district but the most important avenue in Sao Paulo, the Avenida Paulista, a block away from Rua Augusta. The only thing that remains is the beautiful church at left, while the school itself is now a part of a huge building located where the other one stood.

Great, I did not recognize the place.

I live 10 minutes away from Paulista Avenue :)
When we lived there, in 1964 to 1966, we lived ten minutes away as well. Our home was 100 meters from the back (side) entrance to Igreja Sao Gabriel

I’m from Ilkley, The capital of Yorkshire, England.

i guess most of us have.
bad nauheim is the place, where many fan-meetings of the biggest german fan-club (elvis-presley-gesellschaft e.v.) happened and are still happening (usually one or two times a year).
those meetings started very small in the late 70s, mostly in the parkhotel am kurhaus, (not to be confused with hilberts parkhotel, where elvis resided shortly, before moving to the hotel grunewald) and became more established year by year in the 80s and 90s.
of course, (guided) city tours to the hotel grunewald, goethestraße, the ray barracks among other places were often part of the supporting program.
those "familial" one-day "epg"-meetings at the parkhotel had maybe 200 or 300 fans attending.
in the late 90s/2000s times were changing, elvis became more widely accepted and a new generation came in (political) headships were they were able to make decisions now. as a result, places and streets were named after elvis, which had been unthinkable in the 1970s and 80s (they even installed "elvis"-traffic-lights in friedberg, bad nauheim copied the idea in 2019). the whole city of bad nauheim and the neighboring friedberg became involved now, and the former small meetings grew into the "european-elvis-festival", which started officially in 2002. the festival is held over 3 days every year on the weekend closest to the anniverary of elvis´ death, with thousands of international visitors nowadays. it is a little bit like disneyland now, compared to the 80s and 90s.

but i´m rambling.
all i wanted to say, was, that bad nauheim was and is the capital of the german fan scene (when it comes to "meet & greet").

I'm also from Germany and live in a small town located in a region called "Sauerland". The next bigger city is Dortmund, approx. 40km away from where I live. Bad Nauheim is about 2 hours by car.

A farmer stood in the Sauerland and thought about it
that chickens sit on the perch, pigeons on the roof
Meanwhile in his chicken coop, the fox rages quite lively
nnd takes the chickens down from their perch one by one

In Finnentrop is dark
In Küntrop much more
In Hundesossen they shoot at tourists
And still more come every year

In Winterberg lives a garden gnome
He went to Züschen to have a drink
He got lost in Schmallenberg
That's a long way for a full gnome.

Sauerland, my heart beats for Sauerland
Bury me once at the edge of the Lenne
Where the dung heaps smoke, there are no palm trees
Sauerland, my heart beats for Sauerland
Bury my heart in the Lenne sand
Where the girls are even wilder than the cows

In Stachelau the wild sow rages
All the farmers from Krombach come there
And after the party they all beat each other up
They look forward to it all year long
In a barracks in Kalberschnacke
The fire department band is practicing
They do many hours of Radetzkimarsch
And five crates of Warsteiner empty

Sauerland, my heart beats for Sauerland
Bury me once on the edge of the Lenne
Where the dung heaps smoke, there are no palm trees
Sauerland, my heart beats for the Sauerland
Bury my heart in the Lenne sand
Where the girls are even wilder than the cows

[...]

Daddy has left the Wohnzimmer!
Thank You and Good Night!
