Every single article about this new WB Discovery development points to "Elvis" in some way as the film which proves the 45 day period is no longer the only available option. And I single out this sentence.
"Elvis" será el primer estreno de Warner que no llegará a HBO Max después de cumplir 45 días en cartelera. WarnerMedia Discovery espera que estos, junto con una serie de otros cambios estratégicos, lo lleven a 130 millones de suscriptores totales en todo el mundo para 2025.
Via Google translation, here's what it says in English:
"Elvis" will be the first Warner release not to come to HBO Max after serving 45 days in theaters. WarnerMedia Discovery expects these, along with a host of other strategic changes, to bring it to 130 million total subscribers worldwide by 2025."
"For now, an exact streaming release date for Elvis has yet to be confirmed. It's unclear whether or not the studio will choose to keep sending some films to HBO Max after 45 days, or if, from now on, all major upcoming releases will have a longer theatrical release window. Perhaps Warner Bros. is planning on just keeping big office winners like Elvis in theaters longer, which could signal even more changes for the company and its future.

Just because it's not coming to HBO Max doesn't mean it's unavailable to stream on other platforms for a fee. We don't have to explain this, right? Or is it just "Baz" who doesn't know what he's talking about?

This appeared in June , a few days after its initial release. Very few people outside this forum paid notice or gave credence to what this man wrote. He nailed it
Per the video below posted from Baz on Instagram -->
"Wanna make it clear, just to everybody out there, it's misinformation, that ELVIS is going to be on streaming services this Summer. That's not gonna happen. I can tell you right now, that it won't certainly be until the Fall. And I'll also tell you, that every week that ELVIS stays in the theater, I'm going to be releasing special unseen materials, because ELVIS deserves to be seen in the theater."
“Because Elvis deserves to be seen in the theatre,” that’s what he said.
Aww c'mon. You know that Baz's film is different. All box office receipts go to the studio, and streaming is no longer streaming even when it's streaming.

I’ve taken to putting the name “Baz” in inverted commas because it annoys me so much. I’m just putting that out there in the hope that it’ll catch on.
Anyhow… one thing I’ve noticed. This is a serious point. My wife and I listen to the radio a lot and the one station that we can both agree on is something called Boom Radio. It’s primarily 50s, 60s and 70s music, and since the film came out and it started to do good business they play a lot more Elvis music. Before the film they would occasionally play some of his, and it was always the same few tracks, but now there are more and they play what you might call “lesser known” material. Not obscure by any means, but not the songs that you might expect to hear on the radio. Girl Of My Best Friend as opposed to Jailhouse Rock, American Trilogy rather than Heartbreak Hotel.
So that’s good, although they’re preaching to the converted because their target audience is people of my age, so I’m wondering two things. One, is this happening on other stations? And two, is this translating into actual sales? Because if it isn’t and the only positive thing to come out of the film is that streaming numbers go up, then it’s no result at all is it?
On Spotify and in the last 4 weeks, there has been an increase in streaming across the whole catalogue in equivalent album sales of around 123k with the majority of streams on the 30 #1's album. Streaming for the soundtrack on the Elvis songs is around 11.8k which suggests that there is more streaming for the non Elvis songs.
Follewers have gone up in the last couple of months by half a million, but have more or less levelled out now

Living is easy with eyes closed...misunderstanding all you see...
Last Thursday I went to see the Elvis film again and the girl at the desk recognized me, because the previous time she had overheard me telling someone that I had seen Elvis perform live. It was a midday screening and out of about 40 people, 30 of them were youngsters. Everybody left when the credits started to roll, except one girl and me. At a certain point she was also leaving, but when she heard Eminem starting to sing, she came back and sat down again. By the way, if not a revival for Elvis, it sure put Memphis on the map. When I told that girl at the desk, that I was going to Memphis next week, another employee standing there, immediately said: Memphis, Tennessee. I'm quite sure that if I had said that some weeks ago, she would have looked at me and thought that I was going to Timboektoe. They both had seen the film for free and when I asked them if they thought I was crazy coming to see it for the fourth time, they said that they perfectly understood, because the film is great.
It will be interesting to see how well Brad Pitt's Bullet Train debut's this weekend. Can he still draw crowds with out it being a Tarantino movie with Leo Dicaprio. That opened with 41 million in North America. I checked pre sales at a local popular cinema and there were only 31 tickets sold. That's surprising.
So, you're not interested in the truth at all. And you call yourself an adult?
Now that is downright rude.
Ad hominem fallacy (or ad hominem) is an attempt to discredit someone’s argument by personally attacking them. Instead of discussing the argument itself, criticism is directed toward the opponent’s character, which is irrelevant to the discussion. https://www.scribbr.co.uk/fallacy/ad-hominem/
Ad hominem (Latin for 'to the person'), refers to several types of arguments, most of which are fallacious. Typically this term refers to a rhetorical strategy where the speaker attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person making an argument rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself. This avoids genuine debate by creating a personal attack as a diversion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem
“Elvis” should round out the box office’s top five. The Warner Bros. release added $2.3 million on Friday, only 32% down from one week ago. The Baz Luhrmann-directed biopic surpassed a $100 million domestic gross this week — an impressive result for a drama aimed squarely at older audiences.
Tiktok has been all over Elvis. The younger audience is in love with this movie! Some said they watched it 20 times insane

Brad Pitt is a sure magnet but when the movie, by WOM, or reviewer's mediocre tallies falls a tad short of expectations, his star power may suffer.
Look at Bullet Trein .......................54% reviewers ............... vs 80% public

Baz was right. Streaming and home PPV streaming or totally 2 different things.
I agree. What he said was that it would not arrive on HBO Max before the Fall. So, in my opinion, he didn’t lie.
You are right. Baz told the truth. The people in the balcony have it in for him for some reason.
But let’s not forget that according to some there isn’t any difference between paying for streaming and streaming for free. Streaming is streaming.
The Baz said it would not be seen at home until the autumn. That is the fact. He didn't say it won't be free to stream, or that you'd have to pay to see it.
You can't rewrite what he said. He was very clear.

The film has had awful reviews. So its not surprising.
