Yes, and unfortunately it reveals two things: The recording date on the backcover is January 24th (see the video), and, what's more important ... the new LP set includes the well-known 1973 mix and not the new Matt Ross-Spang mix. Very disappointing.

Thanks! Looks great. One question: on the far right side, when the menu is showing, it reads “audio”. What are the options?

Great to see that the disc has lossless audio!!

Mine is due to be delivered by Amazon UK on the 11th August. Liked others no doubt, I only ordered the vinyl to get the new Matt Ross-Spang mix.

I generally only watch the Aloha - which has a superb sound played through a home theatre system - and have lost track of the different mixes. It says that its remastered by Vic Anesini so in theory might sound a little clearer than the 73 USA vinyl. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the MOV 4 LP set. Does anyone know what mix was used for this?

General thoughts anyone on opening this on the 11th or just send back?

Lester, the MOV set used the original mix remastered by Anesini. Based on the info above, I’ve just canceled the vinyl order. I’ll stick with my original US vinyl and the new cds

Is only the April 1973 edit of the jan 14th concert, with the multiple screen added songs, available on the BluRay ?
Or did they give us the additional dvd edit that Graceland had as an additional choice on the dvd set?

Are you 100% positive about this? If so, I'm definitely cancelling my order as well... holy sh*t this is unbelievable and sad if that's really the case...

What a ridiculous thing to not use the new superior mix of the aloha show for the vinyl.. well that counts me out too, plenty of original pressings to listen to.

His YouTube videos are reliable, he knows, what he's talking about. By the way, the video has English subtitels, if you click on the fourth symbol from the right.

I think is is a waste of opportunity by SONY Legacy not to utilize the MRS-mix on the vinyledition. Of course I will try to order a US pressing but my enthusiasm dropped a level now. Maybe they couldonly use a stereotape?

They could just release the covers and we could move the actual records to one sleeve or the other when needed.
It's really hard not to stop collecting thsese fake "new" releases.

Also it's a bit unfair that they are not mentioning this in press releases. It's just cheating.

The art department screwed up big time with one of the photos on the printed innersleeves. Look at the oversized head they put to Elvis’ body. He looks downright weird me thinks. With SONY it’s one mistake after another hehe

The 3 CD & Blu-ray box is also mastered by Vic, so no info on remix or not. The original was quad, so a remix is for sure done

Well it arrived today at my house in UK and it's got to go back. Bloody Amazon sent it in a thin cardboard wallet and the sides have been crushed. They're absolutely useless!!

So it seems that as this 50th Anniversary vinyl release certainly does not come under the "no expense spared" thinking from Sony.

Just the basic double album sleeve without the cut out and just the same grotty photo on one of the inner sleeves with an ad for the On Tour set instead of the MSG set, and then the one with that terrible cut & paste job of Elvis standing in his jump suit surrounded by a load of Hawaiian girls, plus a couple of other photos. No info booklet that I could see and nothing to indicate that it contains the brand new MRS mix, although we do get a new hype sticker proclaiming 50th Anniversary Edition, which might make buyers think they were getting much more.

Other companies seem to produce stellar deluxe re-issues, but Sony are clearly not interested in doing it for Elvis - not for this vinyl release nor the CD set which following the release of the FTD version offers nothing different apart from the remixed rehearsal show and the Blu-Ray, and the booklet is hardly something to get excited about offering just four extra pages at 28.

Same as mine - the spines on both the box and the inner container have been slightly creased. But once I have copied it to my server, the box will sit on the shelf, so I cannot be bothered returning it.
