There's a big demand for lounge music of late, seemingly sparked by endless TV ads using Nat King Cole, Andy Williams and Dean Martin music in them. Bobby Darin returned to the fore via the Kevin Spacey Bio-pic. Michael Buble and Jamie Cullum are big business. Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams, Westlife and everyone else seems to be doing albums of lounge music.
Elvis' lounge side has never really been explored, and I think a well thought out lounge music Elvis CD could do well for him, and show him in a different light.
Tracks such as "Am I Ready", "Almost" and "Let's Forget About The Stars" would sit well alongside classics like "Almost In Love" and "Memories".
And there could be inclusions of the likes of "This Is Our Dance", "All That I Am", "Tender Feeling" and "Who Are You?".
"City By Night" would be a nice addition, as it's a track never really used on compilations, and with great little lounge gems like "I Need Somebody to Lean On" and "Big Love Big Heartache" also available, it'd be an album we could all groove to.
Mainly a 60s compilation, we could choose to include live versions of "It's Impossible" and "Just Can't Help Believing" etc at our peril.
We've had the Rock'n'Roll compilations & the Country material is constantly being re-packaged. We've had releases focusing primarily on Gospel recordings, and Blues albums have been put together. So why not delve into the lost aspect of Elvis' legacy?

Dim the lights, slip into something comfortable, poor a double clam juice and spawl out on the couch as Elvis relaxes you. Grrrrrrrrreat!
A nice late 60s' pic of Elvis in a tuxedo (possibily a Frankie & Johnny shot) could grace the cover of one of the greatest after dark albums ever to hit the deck.
Any body got any more suggestions?
