Best track on "For LP fans only" LP 1959
I really have a soft spot for this album. As a 10 year old child (1978), my sister had an cassette version of this album, and I loved it. So I really can´t see this album without the famous rose coloured glasses .
That even includes weaker material like Poor boy...
But here´s defenitely a lot of first class songs and only one or two songs below par. The intro of My baby left me is an earthshaker with the drums and Bill´s bass. And no one can ignore classic cuts like That´s all right, Lawdy miss clawdy and others, but I must give my vote to "Mystery train". The overals sound is amazing and the laugh from Elvis at the end makes me feel really good.
This album feels a bit stronger than it´s "brother" "A date with Elvis".
Now it´s up to you!
Vote on!

That song could have been included on hthe "Harum scarum" soundtrack...but under a slightly changed title: "Sheik, rattle and roll"thekingisalive wrote:I voted for "Shake, Tattle, and Todler" … eh, "Shake, Rattle and Roll".
It may not be the best song of the album, but it’s the song I like the best.
