Best track on "His hand in mine" LP 1960

Post by dreambear »

Horror! I forgot about this one, and remembered it, when I read the review here. Anyway, Elvis singing on this album is perfect, but I rather listen to the "How great thou art" album. No low points here, but If two have to go, it must be "He knows just what I need" and "If we never meet again". The first one is the only track that I really don´t like...and I can´t rememeber the melody of the other. There´s no absolute favourite, but "In my father´s house" and the title track is the two I use to sing for myself. I choose "His hand in mine".

Vote on!

There are too many to choose from, but I vote for "Known Only to Him", because of Elvis’s amazing vocal control. It’s also a beautiful song.

I like all the tracks listed except Working On The Building. My vote went to I'm Gonna Walk Dem Golden Stairs.

Milky White Way, in my opinion, is a contender for Elvis' finest moment as vocalist.

His voice is so pure, so delicate, so ... I don't know; it's tough for me to express.

The album is filled with fantastic vocals, perhaps his most consistently beautiful singing, so I feel bad I can't vote for more than one track.

But Milky White Way takes it. Doubters, strap on your headphones, turn out the lights and be transported!
