Lior,

You're welcome. I should also add that Elvis used an EV RE-15 (at least that's what it appears to be to me) mic during the two "sit down" segments of the "'68 Comeback Special".

What about that really skinny looking one that Elvis used in the summer of '76?

I remember shots of him (from Bloomington in May?) wearing the V-Neck suit, holding a thin mic that looks different from any other I'd seen him using.

Elvis used an ElectroVoice CS 15-E with the windscreen taped onto the mic using black electrical tape.

And, I'm still looking for a black/grey foam windscreen for my own EV RE-15 but I absolutely cannot find one that will fit properly....

Are all these for concert use? What about Elvis's studio mics, or did you include those?

I am betting that that does not include the studio mic's used during Elvis' recording Sessions.

Leroy's list is pretty accurate and believe what he lists'.

This list only includes mics used during his onstage appearances from 1969-1977. And I will once again stress that this list is Leroy's and not my list. I just borrowed it from him and am giving him credit.

Brad? You are correct. I trust Leroy with his information that he compiles. He is a very knowledgeable man.

Did elvis himself have any oppinion on the choice of mike, do you think? Or did he just use whatever was handed to him? I mean, I don't have picture in my mind of being a technique-freak (although he WAS trying to be an electrician :D ). I have never read or heard about him beeing that much in to the tehhnicalities about his recordings and performances. Anyone who knows something about this?

I'm not sure that Elvis himself had an opinion. Leroy commented over at TCB-World that Bill Porter was always looking for the newest technology (regarding microphones) and Elvis would basically just use what was handed to him....I, personally, favor the EV RE-15 mics the best. I use one during my gigs on the weekends. I learned something, though. When I first got mine, I looked and looked for the "on/off" switch and realized that this is the type of mic that has "phantom" power and stays "on" all the time.

CK,

I'll agree with Brad. You have done awesome work and your information is very valuable!

Thank you, too,..very much Tony..
Perpaps one last word,....we only have very reliable sources like Leroy for suits and mics (thanks again friend) and we have the audio proof for every single show we have tracklistings listed. No speculation.
I have many kind supporters and helpers like Merijn (hey there) he is one of the most knowledgable guys about shows I`ve ever met. The same goes for Henk, Charlie and many others...much appreciated..and of course my "boss", Stevie..hi Stevie..so we will keep on doing the best we can..
