I am. I can't wait to see Kamala whip his ass. She's gonna mop up the floor with Trump's (Hitler's) brain cells (or, rather, lack thereof). The convicted rapist racist felon doesn't stand a chance.

Yes they're showing it here in AU wednesday morning after 10.am, on at least two of our main commercial free to air broadcaster, Channels 10 and 9 and on SBS commercials-free Television. Quite extensive that equals what they normally show on our own federal election every three years.

Sometimes i wonder if we're unofficially, the 53 rd state of the USA

US Presidential Debate Harris v Trump

10:25AM - 12:05PM

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump participate in the first Presidential Debate since President Biden has withdrawn his candidacy. David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate the event.

News | USA | 2024 | NC

i'll see if i can watch or at least tape to view later.

Shouldn't be much of a debate since Kamala Harris is clueless!

Aww my american friends, let's keep it peaceful...

This, here is a look at the two moderators who will be in charge.

Here's hoping that they do well and can get some good decisive responses from the two presidential candidates on the issues that count for you and your countrymen and women. The debate can make or break one or the other.

Harris and Trump will debate this week. What will the moderators do?
Will they call out the candidates when they say something misleading or untrue? Or will they leave the fact-checking up to the candidates?

It’s debate week. On Tuesday night, presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will square off in a much-anticipated debate hosted by ABC News.

One of the key questions — maybe the question — that always comes up in debates is what kind of role the moderators should play when it comes to fact-checking the candidates.

Moderators are usually pretty good at calling out a candidate when he or she doesn’t directly answer a question. But should a moderator call out a candidate when they say something misleading or flat-out untrue?

Or should the moderator steer clear of fact-checking and leave it up to the candidates to fact-check one another?

In a column for Poynter, my colleague Angie Drobnic Holan made the argument that moderators should fact-check candidates. Holan is the director of the International Fact-Checking Network and, before that, she was the longtime editor-in-chief of PolitiFact.

Holan wrote, “In the high-stakes race for the presidency, many voters are just tuning in and not well-versed in current political messaging. They won’t necessarily know what’s true and what’s false without getting at least a few cues from journalist moderators.”

Tuesday’s debate will be moderated by “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and ABC News Live “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis. The first presidential debate of this election cycle — the one between Trump and Joe Biden in June — was hosted by CNN and, for the most part, was not fact-checked by moderators.

There is always plenty of fact-checking after the debate. During an appearance on CNN on Sunday, Holan, who admits live fact-checking by moderators is no easy task, encouraged viewers to seek out reliable fact-checking sources after it’s over.

But moderators can still do their part in real time. Holan’s column offers smart advice for moderators, such as insisting on direct answers, helping the candidates fact-check each other by getting quick responses from a candidate after their opponent makes a claim, making brief comments to set the record straight, and fact-checking important topics and not trivial ones.

Also, Holan wrote, it’s important for moderators to make sure the debate covers a few topics well instead of many topics poorly.

Holan added, “No debate can be all things to all voters, and journalists make a mistake if they think that more topics are better. Most voters are tuning in to get a sense of the person who is the candidate: How well do they articulate their positions? Do they seem strong or weak in doing so? What is the sense of their character or personality? The facts do matter, very much so, but they are not the only things that matter.
Setting up a debate to be substantive and thoughtful is more important than moving through the topics as quickly as possible.”

A distinguished member of the pro Harris group amongst us has just nailed it.

They dont blindly. follow ...but they do follow

i) rapists, like one of the US's last presidents of the 20th century. He backs Harris, all the way.

ii) purchase and use, till the last drop, the things made available by one of the the most celebrated convicted felons in US history, one who has already made his political views very clear, totally pro Harris, the MICROSOFT founder. The other, can still have his conviction overturned, but not the MISCROSOFT founder.

iii) approve the notion that Biden is not a racist (numerous tapes prove me right), and

iv) condone, as if this was just a drop in the ocean, the fascist posture and ACTIVITIES of two Biden/Harris "followers", a former VP and his daughter, responsible for ten times as many DIRECTLY related war casualties, needlessly, if I may add, of US nationals or otherwise, and what is worse, in the service of a US President in this, the 21st century. Add to that the fact that this former Pres. will also vote, SECRETLY, for Harris and the circle shall never be broken.

Now, finally, compare the magnitude of the importance of people who back Harris who are either racists, rapists, fascists or genocidal lunatics with that of us here, at our forum, none of whom certainly deserving of the insults as much as they do, because it is they ( not the members of our forum), who are the ones who try to influence millions to vote, in this case, for Harris.

They, the IMPORTANT rapists, fascists, convicted felons (DUI, no less, without a license in a Porsche 911), and pro war lunatics backing Harris are the ones to blame. Not the members of our forum.
