Asheville, NC. July 24th, 1975. This is the closing show of the tour and third one in Asheville,North Carolina. Throughout his appearances in Ashville, it was noted that Elvis didn't receive a single standing ovation even though the concerts were excellent. Elvis tossed his Gibson guitar to a man in the audience, and a bit later also gave a ring with 19 diamonds valued at $6500.

The previous night Vernon came to the front of the stage and was introduced by Elvis. He asked to his father what he'd like to hear but nobody really heard Vernon's request, Elvis replied " I don't know that one, Daddy. How 'bout Promised Land ? " Vernon's request was " Pieces Of My Life ". I guess Elvis wanted to please his dad and actually did the song at the last show in Ashville.
