The Making Of Jailhouse Rock (FTD)

#1860145

Post by K.C. »

According to the German Elvis Club Berlin and Belgian ElvisMatters websites Follow That Dream announced "The Making Of Jailhouse Rock", which will be released with two books, 3 CDs and a 45s vinyl single.

The two books are titled "Jailhouse Rock - The Film" and "Jailhouse Rock - The Music" and comprise 365 pages. A special collector's single will be modeled after the Vince Everett Single: Treat Me Nice, which was used in the film.

Regarding the CDs, it should be noted that all tracks from the original binaural 2-track tapes were mixed in mono.

Can anyone identify if there is any new (not just remixed) audio here?

Assuming 365 pages for each book, it won’t be that cheap to buy. The wrong side of £100 if that is the case. I reckon FTD should start diversifying into home improvement extensions 😉

They multiple tales of the "Baby, I Don't Care" rhythm tracks are all new. And, all songs are mixed into mono so that differs from the binaural sound on FTD's JHR Volume 1 and 2.

What a shame. I'd actually like this book if it was priced like a book, and not a package holiday to Spain.

OK, so let me rephrase. No new Elvis vocals then?

Yes, I think so. But I a sure Keith Flynn will figure it out as we get closer to release time.

A preview of the books from the Elvis Club Berlin, the title of the music book seems to be wrong, but this could still be from using a mock-up.

I don't think I will be able to pass on this one. It is just too cool. Confused a bit about the tracks, especially on disc 3, the ones recorded at MGM.

Having both Jailhouse FTDs (4 CD total), I'll pass on this one. The book looks good, but will be very expensive (specially converted to Canadian dollars).

After checking against the FTD releases, I don't think we will be getting any new Elvis vocals.

Yep Way to Expensive. I paid €181.82 for TTWII which was 2 large books and 8cds with lots of unreleased music but this is selling for €159.95 for smaller books and 3 cds. I have the 4cds from FTD and i don't care about the unreleased instrumental backing tracks.
