There were several outstanding numbers performed that night : Big boss Man, Reconsider Baby, Rags To Riches, Unchained Melody, You Gave Me A Mountain and Hurt among others.

Elvis surprised the crowd during the reprise of " Hurt ". Indeed no one was expecting Elvis falling flat on his back ( intentionally ) while reaching the high notes of the " finale ". It was certainly spectacular and completely unexpected.

Close to midnight Elvis told the crowd, " I would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year, and health and hapiness throughout 1977 ". He then sang " Funny How Time Slips Away " followed by " Auld Lang Syne. Elvis was on stage for about 90 minutes and made a short karate demonstration karate demonstration before leaving the stage.

You can read a concert review originally published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The " Picture of the Week #59 " is from that show as well.
