Johnson City, TN. March 18, 1976. Elvis opened this tour at the Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City,TN where he gave three shows ( March 17, 18, 19 ). He returned there during the first tour of 1977. For the second show in a row he was wearing the " Dark blue jumpsuit with Silver Eagle ".

Elvis stayed at the Holiday Inn-South nearby Bristol,VA. He arrived there on the 17th and the following day, the mob around the Holiday Inn had grown. It was obvious the security force hired to protect Elvis was inadequate.
